The Carl Vinson Institute of Government is delivering a training program for the Brazil Ministry of Finance. This is the first time the Institute has provided professional development training for a South American government agency. The ministry’s School of Public Finance Administration engaged the Institute to deliver two Succeeding as a Supervisor courses for up to 60 Brazilian federal finance officers. Institute faculty will present the courses Dec. 4–8 for two cohorts of up to 30 finance officers each under an agreement with the Ministry of Finance. The Institute training delegation will also meet with leaders of Brazilian national ministries, universities and local government organizations to explore additional training opportunities. The Ministry of Finance has also asked the Institute to develop a proposal to deliver additional training in 2018.
