Collaborations

The development of public service and outreach programs as they exist today has evolved as societal needs have demanded them. Administration of the University’s service and outreach program follow a mixed approach with some programs being located and managed within the colleges and schools, integrated with the teaching and research functions, as listed below. Other programs are separately budgeted in stand-alone public service and outreach units, but even these in most cases have direct ties with one or more academic departments, schools and colleges for programmatic purposes. Therefore, the teaching and research faculty are integral parts of the University’s public service and outreach operations.
