UGA Public Service and Outreach contributes to Georgia's economic prosperity by helping create jobs, create and expand businesses and enhance community tax bases as well as by providing education, training and information for individuals and organizations responsible for economic development.

UGA launches economic development training initiative


The University of Georgia recently launched a new training initiative to help strengthen economic development professionals' efforts to build a more prosperous Georgia. The course, titled Financing Economic Development and Deal Structuring, debuted December 5 at the UGA Center for Continuing Education Hotel and Conference Center. A second training session is being offered on February 5 in Tifton. more

Sean McMillan appointed director of UGA's economic development office in Atlanta

PhotoSean B. McMillan has been appointed director of economic development for the Atlanta office of the University of Georgia as of July 16. Jennifer Frum, vice president for public service and outreach, and David Lee, vice president for research, made the announcement. more
