Inaugural cohort of Experience UGA ambassadors selected

Experience UGA has named its inaugural cohort of 11 ambassadors. These students will assist the program in a variety of capacities, including: serving as primary volunteers and trip facilitators; building stronger relationships between Experience UGA and the elementary, middle, and high schools; and growing their knowledge of the local community and perceptions of higher education for Clarke County students. Experience UGA is a partnership between the Clarke County School District and the University of Georgia, which aims to bring every Clarke County student (PreK-12) to UGAʼs campus every year.

This year’s ambassadors are:

  • Emily Huffman, Science Education
  • Emily Wilson, Special Education
  • James Freeman, Mechanical Engineering
  • Janelle Hampton, Early Childhood Education
  • Meagan Richardson, Human Development Family Science
  • Michelle Igori, Health Promotion
  • Morgan Victoria Town, Biology and Communication Studies
  • Shannon Harris, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
