Athens, Ga. – The Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach solicits grant proposals from University of Georgia faculty whose scholarship is related to poverty and the economy in Georgia.All UGA faculty members who are interested or engaged in research related to analyzing persistent poverty are eligible to apply.

The deadline for applications is September 29, 2006. In addition, a pre-application workshop will be held on September 6, 2006, from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Training Room of the Fanning Building.
