Athens, Ga. (December 14, 2006) — Brenda Hayes, a public service associate with the University of Georgia’s Fanning Institute, will join the 2007 Georgia Downtown Association board of directors as an Ex Officio member. She will replace the Fanning Institute’s Mac Brown, who has served on the board since 2003.

Hayes will work with GDA to develop test questions for the professional development program, will become executive editor of development for the Georgia Downtown Development Handbook, and will provide Downtown Development Authority Basic Training and Advanced Topics programs.
