Athens, Ga. (April 3, 2007) — Brenda Hayes, a public service associate with the University of Georgia’s Fanning Institute, has been appointed to the Georgia National Register Review Board, part of the Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Hayes will work with the review board to nominate properties to the State Historic Preservation Officer for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. She will also participate in the state historic preservation planning process and will help advise the Historic Preservation Division on matters concerning the state’s historic preservation program.
