Athens, Ga. (September 19, 2007) – The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel is pleased to announce Barbara Forbecker has accepted the position of Senior Event Coordinator with the Department of Conference and Program Development of the Georgia Center.

Prior to becoming a senior event coordinator with the Georgia Center, Forbecker worked as an event coordinator with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Forbecker has more than twelve years of experience as an event coordinator, and she has professional experience in meeting logistics coordination, public relations, contract negotiation and conference marketing experience.

Forbecker has a bachelor degree in home economics from the University of Georgia and is a certified meeting professional.
