The Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach and the Institute of Higher Education are seeking submissions for the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement.
Volume 12 of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement features a new look, a new format, new associate editors, and, most importantly, a renewed commitment to the pursuit of higher education’s public purposes and work.

JHEOE is seeking articles in the following categories:

• Research and Conceptual/Philosophical Articles dis¬cussing dilemmas in community-higher education engage¬ment and identifying critical areas for research and inquiry (edited by KerryAnn O’Meara, University of Maryland—College Park)

• Practice Stories from the Field evaluating and analyzing practitioner experience in the public work of higher educa¬tion (edited by Scott Peters, Cornell University)

• Reflective Essays and Reviews on current and emerging trends, perspectives, issues and challenges in engagement, public scholarship, and institutional change (edited by Hiram E. Fitzgerald, Michigan State University)

• Book Reviews of literature that addresses community-higher education engagement and the practice of public scholarship (edited by Theodore R. Alter, The Pennsylvania State University)
