More than 220 UGA employees fanned out across Athens-Clarke County, contributing 431 total hours of service to nonprofit organizations at 17 locations during the Public Service and Outreach third annual Day of Service on Nov. 17. In addition, 538 books were collected for Books For Keeps, and $415 was raised for the Athens Area Homeless Shelter Gift Card Drive.

“I had fun, learned a lot about the community as well as feeling like I’m giving back,” said Center for Continuing Education & Hotel employee Pamela Bracken, who worked on the pollinator garden at Coile Middle School.
