Employee Spotlight: Cassie Sutton

Cassie Sutton of the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel recently was awarded the Public Service and Outreach Employee Spotlight Award.

Sutton is a program and enrollment assistant for the Georgia Center.

When the Georgia Center staff needed to expand capacity for its Professional Interpreter in Education course, Sutton seamlessly adjusted the registration process to meet the extra demand, all while managing her other job duties. Her extra efforts helped the Georgia Center meet the needs of two school districts and delivered a high level of customer service.

Sutton also provides guidance for new and prospective students. One co-worker said Sutton gives the term “service with a smile” a new meaning.

Sutton was nominated by Cheryl Kennedy, program specialist at the Georgia Center.

“The Georgia Center is fortunate to have Cassie on staff to support her colleagues and our learners. Her hard work and dedication showcase what Public Service and Outreach is all about,” said PSO Vice President Jennifer Frum.

Sutton received a gift basket of treats and a framed certificate recognizing the award.
