Garden Earth Naturalist Training

Twenty-two K-5 teachers from across Georgia attended a five-day professional development workshop at the State Botanical Garden, June 2-6. These teams of 2-3 teachers from public schools in Oconee, Jackson, Forsyth, Cobb and Fulton counties were chosen from a competitive pool of applicants to attend the Garden Earth Naturalist (GEN) program. State Botanical Garden of Georgia to hold Insect-ival! Family Festival Sept. 21

The State Botanical Garden of Georgia at the University of Georgia will host its annual Insect-ival Family Festival Sept. 21 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Visitor Center and Conservatory. As part of the event, a butterfly release will take place at 11 a.m. on the lawn of the International Garden. Full story
