Three students with the Roosevelt Institute at UGA were selected for the Carl Vinson Institute of Government Fellows Program to work with faculty members Shana Jones, Wes Clarke and Rusty Brooks on research projects throughout spring semester. Molly Malone, a sophomore studying international affairs, international business and Chinese, will help create an English language and American culture course for visiting scholars with Brooks, her faculty mentor. Kayla Wilding, a senior who is pursuing a bachelor’s and a master’s in economics, is developing a project with Clarke. Christine Kil, a junior majoring in international affairs, will explore financial incentives for protecting saltwater marshes with Jones. The Vinson Fellows will give presentations April 28 on the results of their internship projects.
