University of Georgia’s Office of Economic Development Director Sean McMillan spoke with members of the Archway committee and the local community at the Old Depot on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
McMillan, whose presentation was arranged by local Archway Professional Betsy McGriff, highlighted programs the UGA offers that can benefit local governments and small businesses, including the Carl Vinson Institute and the Small Business Development Center. He also spoke of how research and development through the various schools and colleges of UGA, particularly in agriculture, have led to the creation of more jobs throughout the state.
