PSO Employee Spotlight: Charlie Bauder

Charlie Bauder of the UGA J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development was awarded the Public Service and Outreach Employee Spotlight Award in the spring.

Bauder serves as the communications manager for the Fanning Institute, where he is responsible for highlighting and promoting the institute’s activities through the production, writing and dissemination of articles for electronic and print media. He also maintains the institute’s social media accounts.

Feature stories on the Walnut Grove Student Leadership program and the NewTown Macon, social media growth, and the Leadership Matters newsletter and podcast were cited as examples of Bauder’s outstanding work.

Fanning faculty appreciate Bauder’s editing skills and his analytical abilities when collaborating on projects.

Bauder, who joined the institute in 2017, was nominated by Matt Bishop, director of the Fanning Institute.

“Charlie’s unwavering commitment to excellence and consistent, high quality and outstanding service is always on display at the J.W. Fanning Institute and for Public Service and Outreach,” said PSO Vice President Jennifer Frum.

Bauder received a gift basket of treats and a framed certificate recognizing the award.
