Throughout the spring 2016 semester, students with the College of Public Health are joining the residents of Denney Tower, a unit of the Athens Housing Authority, for a monthly time of fellowship and programming on nutrition, SNAP application assistance and other topics of interest to the residents. February’s meeting was the first time the students took on original programming by doing a brief presentation and question and answer session on the SNAP application process and medical deductions for older adults. They also led Bingo and served a delicious meal to the 45 attendees.
