Georgia Center gets early care and learning contract

The Georgia Center’s Early Care and Education Initiatives department was awarded a new contract from the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning to continue to administer the Georgia Training Approval system for early care and education professionals in Georgia.  For over 20 years, the Georgia Center has provided the state with expertise in professional development systems that draw on appropriate practices for the education of children from birth to age 5, and best practices in adult learning. Georgia Training Approval is a system that reviews potential trainers and trainings insuring that they meet rigorous standards to prepare early care professionals. Georgia Training Approval maintains a database of over 550 trainers and 5,900 trainings, representing about 18,000 available training hours for over 53,000 early care providers in the state.
