The Campus Kitchen at UGA has begun regular food recovery pickups from the Publix on Atlanta Highway, thanks to an introduction by the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. The Food Bank recovers from this Publix on weekdays, but does not have the capacity to provide weekend coverage. With students’ help, Sunday pick-up will provide a new source of food donations to supplement CKUGA’s food recovery and meal distribution efforts.
